VOIP volume problem

Hi Am using, amongst others, Voipcheap for calls which is working fine. But every time I make a call the volume is at full level - i.e when I click on the volume control on the PC and the volume properties come up the WAVE section is maxed each time and I have to reduce it - anyone know what I can do about this? Thanks
