i was watching the 6 one news on sky and during this it dropped out and to a nice laugh i seen the weather man practicing during a news bulletin only to discover he's live when he shouldnt be and rush to cut the transmission.

    did anyone else see this??

anyways since the weather is 16:9 it stayed 16:9 when it went back to the news and the rte news banner went back to a proper 4:3 banner rather than a 16:9 banner on a 4:3 picture.

I saw that too, the news rarely seems to run smoothly these days, do you ever notice the sound bursts, while the presenter is in middle of a sentence.

some things never change at RTE.
Their obsession with Man United continues on Saturday.

I wrote them an Email last year complaining that 3 out of the 4 matches they showed live at the start of the season(Premier and Champs league) were Man U matches and the only reason the oher wasn't was because it was the Champions league day when Man ure were not playing.
Never heard anything back from them , but wasn't expecting to hear anything needed to rant to someone

I think we are going off topic here but RTE's obsession with the "filth" from the wet city is purely due to money.
They know if they show the scum they will unfortunately get the largest audience possible. Unlike Sky they are under no obligation to show every team (albeit this leads to some woeful games on Sky ie Bolton v Blackburn last week)

This isn't a football terrace. I think you should be capable of making the point that in your opinion RTE show too much Man utd without the need to call anyone filth or scum.

you know i was ready to record the footage by using the instant rewind, and the reverse x2 icon was working but no joy in rewinding.
