Ctrl - Alt - Del

Normally when i press the above sequence al i have to do is press enter to lock my PC. Recently the popup screen from ctrl alt del is inactive meaning i have to click the lock computer button, this happens about 50% of the time. Ideas anyone?

windows key + L work on win2k etc? Does on winxp anyway. Locks screen straight away.
