OK, has anyone used this? What do you think of it valuewise? Are there any blackspots? All opinions appreciated.

The Smart website is lacking in details from what I can see.

A Spanish student I know uses the free wifi to look at the free sites like the corporation website... for maps and all that, its probably handy for that alone. But he has enjoyed nights of emuling at very high speeds presumably because their configuration ****ed up leaving the unfirewalled internet open to all users for free.

Articles about it said that it was going to be free when initially rolled out and that they'd start charging soon after.

    Anyone?

Thanks for that. At long last some answers.

It's a pity that it's x hours of access from when the payment is authorised, as opposed to 24 hours usage.

Eircom had a free wifi hot spot in Grand parade-I dont know if this is still the case-it was earlier in the year.
Smart has always been pay for when I've tried it.

    €35iirc for one months access.

Edited as I see its €35 from that site
