Cheese in vegetarian items in restaurants

    Hiyes,

    Just wondering when ye go to eat in restaurants do ye ask if the Cheese is vegetarian friendly or do you just order away anyways?

    Trust me if you ask is the cheese veggie friendly they will just look at you like your a freak.

    My rule is I only buy veggie cheese and veggie products, but in restaurants I just eat away. Once you start going on about rennet, gelatine, animal fats etc, you will just get blank stares.

    I find most cheese in ireland is veggie anyway, espically the cheeders.

    With being a veggie there is a thin line between keeping to your principles and being an ackward pain in the hole.
