Pool Playing Lessons

    Hi Everyone

I am new here - so please forgive me if this seems like a really stupid question but - my boyfriend loves to play pool and I haven't played in years. When I did play I was pretty bad at it. I'd like to play (as it means so much to K) but don't like it as I play so bad.

To that end, I was thinking of getting lessons, but don't know if anywhere does that kind of thing - is pool just a skill you develop and can somone show you?

Has anyone had lessons or know where I can go for some?

Gemstone, First step if you're a total beginner is to learn the basics (foundation of any cue sport player) which I believe everyone is capable of doing. i.e. Grip, Stance, Bridge, Cue-action etc.,

a lot(almost every worthwile one) of snooker/pool tutor websites give this sort of info as standard (and free) with pictures/diagrams, that should be your first port of call. Just read up on it and practise with a cue on the litchen table etc. As far as the basics are concerned this kind of material plus some informal coaching from K is deffo gonna be enough to get you rolling.

let us know if you're beyond this stage already.
