    Hi There,

Hope this finds its way into the correct section.

I am looking to buy a new printer as my HP seems to be making some serious enough noises and won't work anymore.

Basicially I was wondering what most people on here have and what is a good one to recommend:

Basically I will need it for:

    Printing photos occasionally
Printing "very occasionally" for work purposes.

I would prefer a wife friendly one i.e. she can take pictures, take the sd memory card out, put it into the printer, press print - and wha la!

Would Dell be the best option if I am looking to spend about €150?

    Appreciate your comments and suggestions

I think the printer you're looking for is the Epson R300. Comes with mem card reader and display so you can see which pic you want to print. Also have a look at the Epson R200 (without display) and the Canon Pixma iP range of printers. All of those should be within your budget of €150.

Excellent - thanks for that info

The epson r300 looks the part and could be the one.

Im still mulling over the fact that Im in the US next week and might buy one ther and try and bring it back over on the plane. Usually printers are in quite small boxes and can be easily carried on as "carry on luggage" The good thing is that I fly business class and can easily take it on without many questions. Also due to me flying into Shannon - customs should be okay.......they are usually asleep on a chair (and Im not exaggerating!)

Check out komplett.ie. They have the Epson R300 for €139 and they charge €10 delivery. You should really check PC World or similar as last time I looked, their prices for these printers were very close, if not cheaper than online stores! Doesn't happen very often but worth checking out.

Could anybody help me choose a Printer? Looking that’s a copier / printer / scanner / fax in the price range of around €300 and has to be a good performer with printing pictures from digital camera. Cheers

What about either of these from komplett.ie (no built-in fax though):
    Canon Pixma MP750
    Canon Pixma MP130
