    i need to do a range of values from 01301 - 10000, i must go up in incremants of 50

    eg
    01301 - 01350
    01351 - 01400
    01401 - 01450

    is there any way to do it quicker than typing them all out? i tried the dragging method but al i got was

    01301 - 01350
    01351 - 01400
    01401 - 01450
    01451 - 01500
    01501 - 01550
    01551 - 01600

    any help would be great

    A1 = 01301
    B1 = 01350

    A2 = A1+50
    B2 = B1+50

    then drag the A2 and B2 formula's down

    You might need to format those cells, custom format '00000' or whatever suits, to see the 0 before the 1301

    ...let me know if thats what you are looking for

    Note to have leading zeroes have to first generate the numbers, then convert to text and append the "0" and " - " etc then I edit / copy / paste special / values to "freeze" the output

    Take a poke around and its simple anuf what is going on - hope that helps
