numerous ways to make 'em. Record (Or obtain recorded) footage that you think would make a good animtion.. then convert to gif (ex: google .avi to .gif .. video editing software..)
or are you looking for drawn animations? (Play with Pivot - just add hurls...it's great fun)

Not really but u could get a video capture card and record the sunday game for smething to look as reference
