Hi all I'm about to sell my laptop..

I have deleted files from before..
But I know that they are not completely gone despite that it has been deleted off the recycle bin..

I want to know which software can I use to see those that is still there invisible to the system and I want to remove them.. so that any sensitive data won't be recoverd by the guy I'm selling it to..

Pls note I'm hoping that no formatting of the Hdd if possible..
    Thanks

    You could try PGP,

You can use the wipe free space, its pretty cool, plus you can do it up to 27 times in one go so theres no chance of retrieving the files...

and its a handy encryption tool too!!!

    Alright man,

I think this link PGP 8.0 should have a freeware version

I cant actually say where i got mine from, well not on boards anyway!

But try the freeware, i recommend running a virus scan on it first! also theres no harm in using the eraser and pgp together!

Two heads are better than one!

    PEACE!!!

And let me know how you get on man
