    i'm gettin one of these

    http://www.adirondackguitar.com/effects/guyatone/sv2.htm

i really want a boss slow gear pedal but they are a disaster to find (vintage pedal came out in '79 and there ws feck all of them made)...so this is the modern equivlent...there is one on ebay for $80odd but i wanna see how much they are from the official site..sweet stuff

listen to xanadu by rush to hear one and i thing yngwie used them at some stage too.

the effect is on the gt-6/8 and the me-50 (see feylya u have heard of it ;)) but my hole am i gettin one of them just for this effect...creates more atmosphere than dave gilmour on a smokey stage

Sounds like you can do some interesting things with that. I demand some sound samples when you get it.

Have you tried a Zoom 505? They are like €40 and they have a swell effect. You could use one with a cheap true bypass box because the patch switching and bypass is ****e on it.

Slow Gears are easy enough to get hold of, it's just that they're expensive and well..not meant to be very good. So you're better off without.

where have u seen these masterofsolos???

i had a zoom 707 but some wanker got a loan of it off me and decide not to give it back along long story..not friend anymore but that had a violin patch on it that was similar but not the best compared to the slow gear on the gt-6 i had that was magic...cheers dave!!!

Ebay, boss fan sites, Harmony Central forums I think. They appear every now and then. Usually go for around €200-300 Euros.

i wouldn't pay that tbh considering the gt-6 has that feature and they go for about 300ish second hand and i could have it that day so i think i'll stick with this bad boy...cheers anyway man i'll keep an eye out ;)

AHHHH, the reverse delay... Yeah, I've messed around with it. I like it. Sure, just get an ME-50 for cheap and you can mess around with it :p

Reverse delay? It predicts the notes you're going to play? Wow, what an age we live in :p

    :D

How does it work? Plays the delayed notes backwards? If so it'd be cool used on a mixing desk with effects set to pre-fader.

It's basically like a volume swell kinda thing..instead of the attack being at the start of the note, it's at the end, so it kinda builds up to it.

yeah there is a bit of a delay between when u play the note to when it comes out of the amp
