I think you'll be extremely lucky to find one. I was looking for the same thing last year, and the only one that fit the bill was the Compex WL54G, which was not available here. They now have their own online shop, but the new model WL54AG no longer has an antenna connector. You might get the WL54G on Ebay, I suppose.

i have come across a few this one looks good:

    http://www.buffalotech.com/products/product-detail.php?productid=110&categoryid=7

buffalo seem to have a few different ones.

i also came across this one:

i found a thread online about it also:

From experience, the Senao is a superb card.

it does look like a good card.

do you know of any suppliers in ireland/uk?

the one i found is in australia, and i would prob have to pay a shed load for postage, they don't even seem to have a postage option for international.

    anyway,

i saw this one on elara:
    http://www.elara.ie/products/detailsfull.asp?productcode=ECE969028&productID=108222

it also has an external aerial connector

Seems rather expensive, but if you're willling.. ensure that the external antenna connection is not proprietary

it doesn't say what type in the data sheet for that card, but inanother simialr model it says:

External Antenna Connector MC Card Connector

which, afaik is just a standard small antenna connector

Sounds like I'm too late with this, but for the sake of accuracy:

The Senao card you linked to is available from Base Wireless in Terenure. I've dealt with them before and they're fine. However, that particular card is 802.11b, not 11g. There are 11g and 11a cards in the Senao range, but they do not have antenna connectors.

    ya.

i noticed that. one of the reasons i didn't order it.

the Senoa site is a bit screwed, but i did manage to find out that the g card didn't have an external aerial.

i received the card from elara yesterday. haven't had a chance to test it yet.

the bro has an aerial he can lend me, so i will give that a try before i buy/build one.

the main issue i see me having is that my line of site is blocked by some trees behind my house (renting house). so if i can't get a signal through them i will have few options as i don't own the trees, so i can't cut them down

will have to see what i can get before i try anything drastic. ( i swear i don't know who stole those trees)
