*spoilers for season 2 obviously, but nothing major*

Here's the special E!Online chat with Damon Lindelof answering questions....

Jennifer asks: Are you going to start incorporating flashback scenes of the characters from the back of the plane?
Damon_Lindelof replies: At least one of them. We're only going on record saying Michelle Rodriguez will be around. The idea is sort of meeting someone and making a snap judgement about them, and then going into a flashback to see what they're really about. Every character we meet will eventually get a flashback.

Gia asks: Will Hurley get a love interest this season?
Damon_Lindelof replies: It's definitely something we wanna explore, but not something we wanna force. There are going to be some new women characters coming on the show, and we'll see what happens.

fly_q asks: Kate and Jack have been together for almost 2 months. Why keep them apart?
Damon_Lindelof replies: I think the original plan in season one was to get them together, but then all these things with Sawyer and the triangle started to happen. It seemed Sawyer and Kate would naturally gravitate together because they were cut from the same cloth. But then Jack represents stability and something she would want in the long run. Of course, now Michelle Rodriguez is in the mix...

Jim asks: Are you upset that many people have leaked the entire episode 1/season 2 story over Internet chat rooms? Will this affect any further "previews premieres" you might choose to do?
Damon_Lindelof replies: As long as the spoiler warnings are posted, and you don't find out unless you want to, I guess that's Ok. Hopefully, people will still wanna watch if they read those postings. Those decisions to do screenings are made by the network, not the producers to sort of generate heat, but I don't know. I don't wanna know what happens in the first episode!

Jennifer asks: Who gets to take the credit (or blame) for what's in the hatch?
Damon_Lindelof replies: I'd like to know if people like it before I answer that! Deciding what's in the hatch was generated in the writer's room. Carlton and I take full responsiblity for what's in the hatch, but again it takes a couple episodes to fully reveal itself...

D asks: Congratulations on the Emmy last night...much deserved. Do you have any other shows in the works or are you focusing on Lost for now?
Damon_Lindelof replies: I'm keeping it all about Lost this year. Right now, it's Monday, a week from today, there will be a new script that we haven't even talked about yet. I wish I could do what other show runners do, and have other projects, but this show is just too consuming. My one pet project is I'm gonna write a comic book for Marvel, but that's it. And also, I love this show. I wake up in the middle of the night thinking about it... Maybe we'll do a Saturday morning spin off called Locke and the Monster

    South_Africa asks: We want Rose!!
Damon_Lindelof replies: We want Rose too, and South Africa, that's so cool. L. Scott Caldwell got a play and was unavailable for the back half of season one, but fortunately, she's back for season two. You're gonna be seeing a lot of her.

Jen asks: The whole cast seems like a dream to work with. Are they all as nice as they seem? Or do you have some dirt to spill?
Damon_Lindelof replies: I keep waiting for the bottom to fall out, and for the cast to turn on us, but it just hasn't happened. But if you look at it logically, they get to live in Hawaii, we're not workign them too hard cause the cast is so large, and when the episode's areabout them, they get to do cool stuff, so I think they're all kind of stoked. No dirt to spill, but Dom does wear women's clothing... I'll say that.

Layla asks: Why was Malcolm David Kelley (Walt) not at the Emmys? Do he and Ian Soderholmer (Boone) get "Best Drama" Emmys, too?
Damon_Lindelof replies: Again, the only official Emmy recipients are the producers of the show, but again because of the way tickets work, and all that, not everyone could come. Also, we had to do a full day of work today, so Yunjin Kim also couldn't come. She's shooting today. She's a goddess. Ian and Malcolm are such a big part of the Lost family and we would've loved to have them there. We pushed hard to get as many tickets as we could.

.... asks: Any chance of an episode from Vincent the dog's eyes?
Damon_Lindelof replies: We had originally planned to do an episode revealing major island mythology from the dog's eyes... but it leaked, and some things don't bother me, but that was something that bothered us... so

... asks: Is Locke good or evil, do you know?
Damon_Lindelof replies: We definitely know and we have sort of an interesting approach to the character, but every one of our characters have aspects of good and evil. That's not a cop-out but when you look at Kate or Sawyer, you see that they've done bad, but then you explore their past and you see why they're that way, maybe. Locke, in that very first scene tells us everything about his character to Walt. Check out the DVD. It'll make more sense.

... asks: How did you come up with the specific numbers for Hurley...
Damon_Lindelof replies: That is a big secret and I can't reveal it. We think we're being really clever hiding these things, but there are websites that bust us on these

    ... asks: Michelle Rodriguez!!
Damon_Lindelof replies: Her name is Ana Lucia. She was in the tail section of the plane in Row 42. She's from L.A. and she did survive. But that's all I'm willing to say!

... asks: How did you guys celebrate last night? ANy donald ducking going on?
Damon_Lindelof replies: There was a lot of Donald Ducking going on! Let me tell you. And some Mickey Mousing too, but not til very, very late. The thing about having such a large cast, we all kind of got split up at some point. I went to the TV Guide party where I ran Jorge andIan. Foxy was there and Josh, Maggie. Missy Elliott performed. She was awesome. I wish I could tell you I had a more clear vision of the event, but I think I had a couple cocktails...

Damon_Lindelof: and I wanna say for all you fans, I am preparing myself for what you guys think of what's in the hatch. And thank you so much. I'm a fan of you guys.
