I made a biki page which can be found under [wiki]podcast[/wiki]. While i was at it, i made a page for [wiki]DNTK[/wiki] which i'm sure most of todays boardsies are unaware of or have forgotten about. If there's any more DNTK's floating about, it might be an idea to add them on to the entry.

While i'm on about the biki, if anyone wants to do some repetitive work on it, most board entries need a piece of code to reflect which category the board is in. seamus has already been doing this. Something like
    [[category:Boards|After Hours]] [[category:Rec|After Hours]]

at the bottom of the edit page will do it. The "After Hours" bit above is to force the biki to organise the pages alphabetically, rather than all entries under 'B' in pages like this. Naturally, "After Hours" above should be replaced with the name of the forum.

EDIT: i put this in the [wiki]Talk:Main_Page_Discussion[/wiki] page, but I may as well put it here while i'm at it.

Instead of linking to the biki pages of forums in heirarchy lists ( as in [wiki]category:arts[/wiki], i think it would be a better idea to link directly to the forums. Most forums do not yet have articles, so most are dead links. Also, if the forum pages link back to the category, then the articles will be listed at the bottom of the page anyway. For illustration, i have modified the [wiki]category:Biz[/wiki] page by adding the heirarchy from the [wiki]biz[/wiki] page.

    Good idea?

Worth doing for all boards category pages?

    D'oh! :o
Though in fairness most of the work I did today was just cleaning up redirects and moving articles to the correct namespace. It should be simple enough to edit the category entries on them now to list them properly (I know wiki would have some markup to do that!).

Yeah, good idea. I was thinking, as the "Articles in this category" sections were filling up, if we removed the hierarchy, then we wouldn't have all the forums listed....so...eh good idea.

I modified the category pages today. Wrote a script to do most of it.

Next step is writing meaningful entries for each board page. I'd say we could have some sort of convention to be (loosely) followed.
