whats the deal with ebay

I have tried using ebay at random times over the past 6 months (both the co.uk and the .ie version) and it is constantly timing out on me. I have not been successfully able to finish registering as a seller (did the first reg bit but couldnt finish the rest of it as it kept bringing me back into a loop to register and told me i was already registered etc.....).

I use the internet in work so its not a connection issue, its not blocked and I can access every other site I try. It seems to me that either ebay is constantly having issues with availability or I am extraordinarily unlucky. People rave about ebay and I cant seem to even get started with it.

Just now I was trying to register as a seller (this is about the 10th time in 6 months i have tried this), was told I am already registered (as a buyer, fair enough) I click on "Forgotten your userid" and it was hanging for ages, finally got the the next screen after it timed out twice and entered my email address and it gave me the error "Page cannot be displayed" WTF?

Im getting the same problem and its starting to get annoying. Don't know whats up with it. :mad:

this is such a common problem its amazing...use the searh facility on your pc to
look for the "hosts" file....open with Notepad....is there any reference to ebay in there ?

i had this problem at home when i got in my internet connection.think i had to do something in my internet options (using firefox).

possibly click on of the security things in advanced options, cant exactly remember but something in there should sort it
