College Network - download limit??

Hi is there a limit to the amount you can download?
Do people get caught ilegally downloading stuff?
Can you watch streaming video without getting detectred eg. Lost
Can you share files among users in the network ie. a shared folder?

Hell no spent days in the huts downloading games and music and videos, I know the person who is the leader on the maths storage account, over a gig by a mile last check.

Doubt it. The same chap who is number one in the maths acount , from hall on his laptop has DVD after DVD after DVD of downloaded material it was shocking.

He downloaded the enitre series of scrubs one morning cause he was bored

the college is entirely firewalled off, so if you wanna dl anything it'll have to come through the proxies, and air vent lil ole chappy, your only comparing him to the same users on that drive, all the highest space users are staff and post grads. Last i check i'm 3 times higher than any student(tho alas all legal )

I hate to say it vent mate, but he's right. Serenity being one of the maths account law enforcement officers. Bastard can delete/open anything on our accounts.. It's his job. They give him a desk, office and money to do it

unfortunately i have to agree with air_vent, sigh... but banning seems to be handed out on a very biased basis and mods give their mates and people who side with them too much leeway...

also there was absolutely no jest in fade's comments, who (him/her)self is quite judgemental and often seems to be inciting arguments.
