I want to start drumming seriously again, but due to neighbor issues i think an electric kit is the only option.

What do people recommend as regards triggers and modules? Ill be buying from thomann/musikproduktiv and my budget is approx €800 for drums/hardware/everything...

Have you considered going second hand instead of musik-produktiv (as nice and good as they are)! I managed to get a Roland td-6 for 800 blips out of the buy and sell, with the rack, throne and kick pedal :)

Indeed I havent, I'll have a quick look around. What do you think of the TD-6?

I like it, esp the way I can choke the cymbals (big must for me) and I can sidestick on the snare. Kits are nice and use the midi option into groove agent or battery on my pc for custom made kits* which is nice.

*You can also make custom kits on the TD-6, but only using the sounds provided on the drum-brain.

P.s If its just home practice your after and not recording you could do far worse than this. I tried out a few yamaha kits while shopping for my e-drums (allthough not this kit) and they were quite nice.

Yeah that looks ok, I'll use it for home practise and band practise maybe. Not recording yet. If I do record i'll get a lend of a nice acoustic kit i think. Parents realised they've neglected me for the last year so theyve just offered to buy me a kit as long as its under a grand!

But how can I feel pain
    How can I feel pain

Yeah... I think ill go for the yamaha TDXtreme. What about amplification though when i dont have a PA and im playin with the band...

Im not abusing the ENGL... Should i get a 2x10 bass amp to cover all frequencies like this...

    http://www.musik-produktiv.de/shop2/shop04.asp/artnr/100020649/sid/!06082002/quelle/listen

Or should I get a keyboard amp, or even a floor monitor...

I have my kit going through a poweramp to a pair of monitor speakers which sounds savage, however a pair of headphones will do. If you want to put it through an amplifier however a keyboard amp should be best as it has low-and high-frequency speakers (or at least proper ones do). You should be able to pick up a nice enough pair of active yamaha or m-audio monitor speakers for around 100-150 euro which would have the advantage of a stereo drum image (i.e the drums and cymbals sounds being louder on the side where they would be on an acoustic kit).

The behringer bass amp i linked to has 2x10" and a 1" tweeter, i'd say it'll cover all frequencies. I need a new bass amp too!

Im thinking of getting a small active fullrange PA with maybe a 12" sub and two satellites maybe.

    Anyone use this?

It looks like a good setup, and I would definitly recommend a 2.1 setup over a bass amp for the e-drums, but for the kit you are getting that setup maybe a slight bit overkill, perhaps this might be a bit better suited (the yamaha e-drum kits I played had a holder for speakers, but if yours dont argos sell a nice set of floormmount speaker holders for around 19 euro)

Hmm but for live use, studio monitors wouldnt be very suitable from what i've read in different forums, they arent meant for high volume. If I get the dB system, Ill be running one vocal mic and e-drums through it and use an in-ear monitor. At the moment Im in a kind of dire straits/zeppelin influenced light rock band with one bass with a peavey 1x15" + 1x1" amp and a guitar going through my ENGL thunder 50 combo. So I think we'll be needing a small PA for practise very soon anyway. I might as well get the dB system now and kill two birds with one stone.

No way would i get the dB system if i was just using it for home practise but i think i should get the best setup I can afford to save spending more money in a years time.

BTW you can get rack clamps to attatch the dB satellites to an E-drum rack for about €15 on thomann which would be handy for home use
