    WinKey + PauseKey

    Hardware > Device Manager

Find > Universal Serial Bus controllers

    Find Host Controller

Not everyone is as clued into computers as ourselves, and sometimes in the asking of questions, they aren't as logical as we might like them to be.
What may seem like a stupid question to you or me, is perfectly logical to the person posing the question.

There is no need to be a dick when answering someone's question. If you think it's dumb, or has a lack of detail, don't answer it, or just tell them you need more specific details. But there is no need to act the smartass.

i'm with lump on this one. everyone wants their shoes tied for them.

Turismo4 has it anyway, but to add to it slightly, if it's USB2 it will be labelled as either USB2 or high speed USB, whereas USB1.1 will just generally be labelled as 'USB'. sometimes they'll go all out and call them Universal Serial Bus... rather than USB, but you should be able to find out from that.

Another way, if its XP, put in something like a USB key, and if XP complains that its not USB 2.0, then its a sign.
