Hi all here, iv just registered and im sure your all well tired of answerin questions from the likes of me,but here goes anyway, I'm thinking of getting a bike for commuting to and from work (about 5 miles), and just general messing about, anyway i was looking at different bikes and I really like the honda rebel 250, So I was just wondering if any of you have any experience of this bike or know if its a good one.Im a total novice to biking but keen to get started, i rang corol nash last week and got a quote for this bike (€985 third party) which is still cheaper than my car insurance. Anyway any help you can offer would be greatly apreciated.thanks in advance

I just got a quote on a Yamaha Virago - similar bike but it's a 125. Carole Nash quoted me 640, AON quoted me 470. No prizes for guessing who I'll be going with. Do check them both out. I was shocked at the difference.

I do have the benefit of a 4+ yrs no-claims on a moped, which probably helped bring my premium down a bit, but I'm on a provisional.
