You'll have to check them in separately, like you would have to do for something like golf clubs. Maybe you should wrap them in bubble wrap or something to protect them.

    Hello?!

How'd you expect him to get a decent match going at 30,000 feet with the hurleys in bubble-wrap?

Yea, I'm sure they'd be considered weapons ;) They could do some mighty damage!

    Not as hand luggage.

You just check them in with your normal luggage. Strap them together - and if possible to your other luggage.

They will just pop out on the conveyor belt on the otherside! :p

You cant bring them on as hand luggage you have to check them in. they will tape them together for you when your checking them in. I always bring hurls away with me when going on holidays and that is how its always done

I was on a flight last week, coming from the us and someone brought a horse saddle as hand luggage.

You probably won't be able to check them in as normal luggage either.

When I brought a samurai sword back from Edinburgh I had to put it through oversized luggage or something like that. Basically just package it up and make sure you check in in plenty of time. The servisair people will tell you what to do.

That is because they are expensive and cannot have other luggage on top of it.
Safest place if you don't have a hard case for it.

me 4. thought you were flying somewhere and ended up on the same plane as hurley. that would have to put you off a bit.

on topic however, i'd say as long as they're stowed they shouldn't be a problem.

    You shouldnt have a problem.

If you think about it a hurley is no more a weapon than a walking stick...It would be fairly difficult to go up the plane swinging the thing around and pulling on people :)

Myself and my colleagues would like to point out that the plural or hurley is hurleys, not hurls as many a bog****e may like to think.

Hurls? Eh? I'm the same as you mate, it's hurleys where I'm from, and I'm a country boy ;)
