Arita 4x disc only writeing at 2x. help!!!

    I bought some of these disk

    Arita DVD-R 4 speed 4.7 gb 120 mins

    There supposed to be 4x speed but will only write at 2x

    I have a Pioneer DVR-106D with firmaware Pioneer v1.08 (RPC-1 + unlock ripping speed only)

    any idea, anyone else use them.

    the answer is in your post " 2xDVD-R"
    meaning you can only burn at 2x regardless
    of the write speed of the disc

    Sorry I posted the wrong firmware. I couldn’t find the 1.08 so copied and pasted the 1.07 and changed the 7 to an 8.

    Anyway I can write on other -R 4x media ok like datasafe and Verbatim
