    Hi,

Don't know if any one else has had this problem before, but my sky+ remote will not control the box. It has new batteries in it and it will control my TV. Any one know why. I think when the technitian came he rest the box, or did an update or something (everything was still on the hard disk) and the control worked.

How do you reset it if you cant use the control?

Please help, my dad keeps making me get up to change the channel lol.

    Glenn

i'd get in contact with social services :D

resetting the software without a remote
there would be the reboot of the box (unplug for 10 seconds then power up again)
manual software download (power down, remove viewing card and hold in the backup button on the front of the box. with the backup button still held in power up sky box and only leave go of the backup button when all lights on the box are lit up. wait 10 minutes or so. whether or not this keeps recordings i dont know)

i have heard of this screwing up Digiboxes on rare occasions so if it goes arseways dont come running back complaining as its a do at your own risk type thing
