Gwen Stefani's "Cool" - what does this song reming you of? It seems very 1980's but I can;t put my finger on possible influences.

The opening few seconds of Cool remind me of 'Under Pressure' by Bowie/Queen ie the bit where they sing 'Caring about ourselves / This is our last dance / This is our last dance This is ourselves'

according to Martin Gore's website the man himself, although best known for writing all songs for Depeche Mode, collaborated with Gwen on her album. Perhaps that's whz it is reminiscent of the 1980s.

With people like DM, Prince or George Michael and so on the 1980s weren't bad at all
