    Life is change,
You are going to have a very busy year a head of you .
Focus on that, cry all the tears you have to now.
You cant change his decison or make him take you back.

It sounds like you are upset because you were actually dumped, not because you love him.

You'll get over it! (have a look at the other posts in this forum for good advice.)

As was said, you've a busy year ahead of you and then college. At which time life changes a great deal.

Everyone feels like you do at some stage, it'll gradually feel less and less ****ty and eventually you won't care anymore. Best to just get on with things, try not to dwell too much on it.

Many school relationships don't survive college. Just happened a bit earlier for you that's all. Try and concentrate on going to college, there's plenty of new friends to be made in the first week or two. You might find come christmas or sooner that you guys want to have another shot at it, or that ye are both happy as friends (or not). :)

I think your ex wants to enjoy the full college experience, which is fair enough.
Think of your relationship as a summer romance & keep your eye out for a guy to have a bit of fun with & not get too serious about this year, someone to treat you special & pamper you when you need it after a tough week at school ( & there'll be a fair few of those this year).

It's best that your ex was honest with you, he'll be going out to all sorts of events during the year & a lot of them will be mid-week things, he could've just said nothing & stayed with you & gone off cheating with whoever he chose & you would've never known about it.

    He did the right thing.
Find someone new who keeps you as their number 1 priority.

The year'll fly by & then you can get started on all those party-hard college guys or working men with lots of dosh! :p

Don't worry, you will find somebody else. After 4 months, things couldn't have been to serious. Your ex obviously wanted to be free to run wild in college.

You do have an important year ahead of you so work hard and then you can play hard ;)

To be honest,it is much better than a slow decline in college as you would never see him. This happens to a lot of people :/ because you want to go to different places but believe me you will meet great people in college and will get over it.Some of my friends had to lose one or two year relationships when coming to college and i know it does suck but you admit yourself, you would see him much too infrequently and it would just end bitterly.I choose to end it on a high and i think you should do the same.

If he is your true love, you could always try your best to be patient? :)
I mean it! It works for me! Me and my guy have been separated for two years now and we are as mad about eachother as ever! That is because we are both patient. ;)
