OK this is an old one but I've found the reason for the problem, just need an answer.
I have a wireless camera 2.4ghz connected to my PC. Also have a 2.4ghz wireless network in the house. Problem is the wireless router is interfering with the camera i.e. I get white lines on the picture. If I knock of the router the picture is perfect but then I can't ftp stills to my website. Catch 22
Do you know of any way of sorting this? If I change the channel on the router will this help or am I in trouble since both are transmitting on 2.4ghz ?

You can try changing the router channel (there should be a few to choose from).

Look up which specific channel your camera is using and try and set the router channel as far away (mHz-wise) from it as possible.

Not garanteed to work, note, as I had (and still have) a similar problem with a digisender-type thingy, and tried with both respectively set as far apart in frequencies of the 2.4 GHz spectrum as was feasible, and still getting interference in the end :(
