Best Venue in Dublin?

For me: Vicar Street! No doubt. I always liked small and intimate venues. I am also fond of the Olympia and when it comes to massive productions the Point is not bad, although the acoustic in the hall is not that great. What do you think?

For live music at it's best intimacy I'd go for Whelans. I love Vicar Street for comedy gigs...... Vicar Street is the home of comedy..... or Tommy Tiernan's living room as Colin Murphy calls it! :D

The Annesley House is the best venue in Dublin. The sound, the pints and the location and trevor from radiator is never there! Eamon dorans is the worst ever! The smell, the sound, the sound engineer.

The Struts play there alot, mostly fridays and saturdays, and a band called the business play there every monday. Its a deadly venue. Very intimate and good sound. The Struts are playing there this friday and then again on the 7th of october and then again on the 26th of November. They have no website but you can hear The Struts at cpu.ie Come down on Friday and see what you think, you won't be dissapointed!!

For me it's Vicar Street and Whelans now. I remember some great nights in the SFX though way back when....

The RDS is the worst, the sound is always crappy.

The only venues I've been to are the RDS and Ambassador. I really like the ambassador.

Wait til you experience Vicar St, it's like Haagen Dazs compared to the Ambassador's HB.

Olympia`s my favourite, Vicar St. is also good. For outdoor gigs, I thought Ardgillan was excellent.

What are you saying about HB? Sometime's a man just wants plain Ice cream......

I just love the Olympia, the way it slopes down and the balcony's are cool too.

I'm a bit partial to Whelan's as I met my future wife there.

Voted for Vicar St, no option in the pole for Crawdaddy though, really fond of that place.

I think the point voters are just taking the piss.
I love olympia, vicar st, whelans but voted for the ambassador since I am a lazy drunk, I can get straight off a bus and be inside, across in the parnell for cheap booze, and stand at the superb bar in the ambassador while watching the stage.

I adore the Music Centre. Vicar Street is excellent too. Those two constantly fight for my favourite.
