I am such an eejit... I was over in Sweden several times in the last few years and got into drinking different ciders while there. And then when I came back here there was no where to get them. So I told people I would try to get distribution organised. But I never did, now it's everywhere and people love Swedish cider. Dammit, I could have had a bit of money there, if only I wasn't so damn lazy...

Okay, snus anyone (Swedish snuff)? I'm getting that over here before someone else does!

You can get Koppaberg mixed fruit in several offies in the Dublin area. Am not a massive fan to be honest - the pear stuff is fab though :)

I don't think it's the fact that it's Swedish that has made it popular tbh, rather that there are many different varieties of fruit used in it's production. Maybe you should try and find snuff made from, er... some other type of leaf?

Mixed fruit cider, at 7% is so so good :) esp when you drink it chilled at the Porter House, listening to some blues:cool:

Its 1 euro a can in some off licenses.

Try the peach. Its nice for the first few before the sugary taste gets too strong.

On Talnot Street, whilst walking away from the Spike, when you get to the first crossroads, turn right, and just after Supervalue (on the left hand side of the road), there's an off-license that sells Koppaberg. The apple stuff cost €2.39, and the mixed berry stuff costs €3.39 The cans cost €1 as part of a promotion, but will usually cost €2.20

where have you bought peach in ireland? are you stupid and actually mean pear or am I stupid and haven't come across peach in ireland?

The off license in the centre of maynooth town. Im not stupid. It said peach. It tasted like peach. It had a picture of a peach on the front.

Frankly, I don't beleive you. Prove it. Although, you probably don't care what I do or do not beleive.

I've had Kopparberg Pear, apple, strawberry and cranberry, is it a different brand?

frankly this is getting boring. If I was arsed I'd post up a picture later when I get back to college. I still have a few cans in the fridge.

What do you folks think of the mixed fruit cider? Its koopaberg and comes in bottles. Its expensive however, E4 for a 500ml bottle in the off license. IMO it tastes cheap and nasteh. It is 7% though.

frankly you're owned for telling lies.

    http://www.koff.fi/en/products/ciders.html is nicer than kopparberg.

Mixed fruit is ok it's hard to drink it large quanities it can get a bit cough mediciney. For people that find pear or apple too sweet mix with a light larger.

Mixed Berry is nice. Tastes like Blackcurrent Ribena, tbh. Converted a few people into likeing it as well :)

    heh.
syco, you live in/near maynooth, right?
Drop into that offlicense and ask for the sweedish peach cider for a euro. I got a bunch of them.

then again, I can't read sweedish, so it could just as well say 'cat piss' on the can.
    :)

the pear is nice, been drinking these for a good few months now, theve been in ireland ages now. The pear is nice.. but TBH i hate the mixed berry one.. way too sweet IMHO

Aye. mixed fruit is disgusting. The peach one (It does exsist, follow the link above ^ )
Is delicious, if a little sweet. Is the strawberry one nice? Im tempted to try it, however it could be very dodgy. "Strawberry cider" carries novelty-drink connotations.

53846/Kevin_rc_ie : Why must you follow and constantly disagree with me on boards? take your permban and go!

The mixed fruit is fairly manky. Too sweet and tastes like cheap penny sweets. The pear one is quite moreish though

erm... Koff.fi... Did nobody else realise the .fi means that it's Finnish? And persika? That means per pig. Persikka = peach. I'm sorry, I'm a bit of a nazi when it comes to these things.

And yes, the peach is gorgeous. Yummiest thing ever. Strawberry I wasn't keen on. The pineapple and pear was good too, as was the blueberry. Golden Cap is the one I had.

Moi mukulat! That depends on the lingo of your choice. Persika = Swedish (the land of Kopparbergs) Persikka = Finnish (the land of Koff) :p

The Cezh Inn opposite the Porterhouse in temple bar (and the porterhouse itself) sell Rokorderlig pear cider. It doesn't seem to be 7% though, just around 4.5%. It's a nicer taste compaired to Koppaberg but it's really sugary, my glass was quite sticky by the time I finished my first pint of it.

I can't see any 7% one on their site - http://www.rekorderlig.fi/ciders/ I see they have a strawberry and rubarb flavour though!
