does anyone have any advice on where I could buy a good Snazzy digital Camera, or indeed, if any of the cameras in the Argos catalogue are worth buying,
I would be willing to spend up to e249 euro.

If you have any contacts in the military or in NGO,s (concern/red cross) thet can buy all top of the range electrical equip (cameras/dvd players etc) less than half price on the American bases in Bosnia/Kosovo/Germany and other places.

First off , Argos charge approx 20 % extra for all their camera models , thats no joke , for a comparison check out Komplett , Thats www.komplett.ie and look at the digital camera section , they have almost all of the ones Argos have for much lower prices ,

Secondly , you should always check out reviews of the camera that you want , here are some sites to do that ,

    www.megapixel.net
    www.dpreview.com
    www.steves-digicams.com

find the camera you are considering on one of these sites and make sure it gets a good review before you buy , for example that olympus that was recommended above , it does awful on all of the above sites , poor picture quality , distortion , etc.

for the price range you have in mind you should be looking at either a Fuji , a canon , or a sony , these are the best in that price range. For that money you should get at least a 3.2 megapixel camera or better.

Snazzy? Does it matter if it can take pics too? Just interested in your priorities.

If your in Dublin, Go to Gunns on Wexford/Camden street. Just across from Whelans. I got a camera there a few months ago and they give you a great deal.
    Lovely people too :)
