    1. Not really a point here, or a question and it's not really a rant. We'll it a story with rantish qualities. Entered a $50 $12,000 tournament on Ladbrokes last night and got to the final table. I had around 30,000 in chips with the chip leader on over one hundred grand. I was in 6th position when suddenly everything went silent. I could hear the faint sound of a fly buzzing in another room and the dripping of a tap in the bathroom. Nothing from the screen though. I had disconnected. I became frantic; trying a few websites to see if I still had a connection to the internet. Nothing. 15 minutes passed and that was that. My tournament ended in a gruesome way. All that was left was for me to go in and examine the charred remains of the burnt out and deserted poker room. With everyone playing away without me I managed to finish 4th and pick up a little over $1000. Not bad I guess and I definitely would have taken that at the start. I won't even ask the question about whether Digiweb can claim responsibility for this but has anything similiar happened to any of you in a final table situation?

    2. Here's a question. Played in a satellite this morning for a $150 entry tournie tomorrow night. It was a rebuy and the prize pool was up to $200. I won it...and I have to say I'm a little inexperienced at sats so I was expecting to see some money. I didn't though, and either did the 2nd place finisher. Do ladbrokes get this excess? Surely that's a bit of a rip off?

One more question, what happens if you can't make a satellite? Is that your own tough luck or can you keep your ticket for a later one?

    1. Digiweb have no responsibility, all broadband providers state in their terms and conditions that disconnection for any reason will not make them liable for any commerical or financial losses their customers may experience. It's pretty standard fair for these contracts.

To answer your question, no it's never happened to me as a result of my BB connection..pats router /patting router

    2. Normally 2nd place would pick up the excess if there wasn't enough for a ticket. 1st place normally just gets the ticket. Seems strange the excess dissappeared, not really your problem though as you wouldn't have benefited anyway.

    3. You'll be blinded away during the tournament as if you had disconnected. You shouldn't play Sats unless you know you're free for the main game. In the events where you're not free at late notice it's a case of hard luck

This has happened to me on more than one occasion. In fact, in a near identical manner to the one you describe. I also finished 4th and picked up a nice amount but I was a monster chip leader at the time and I am certain I would of won (aren't we all! :D ) In fairnes, I also had an incident where I got to headsup on the final of a £50 MTT on BF and the guy I was playing lost his connection. Because it was headsup the blinds rocketed through cause this guy was effectivly folding every hand. I actually felt bad about this and would of prefered to win the game by good poker.
In another case my connection was still up i.e I could browse and ping sites etc but I had lost my connection to the poker site, this was a STT with 3 remaining when it went down. When I did reconnect, about 10 mins later, I was all in and missed out on second. I wondered if I could get on to the site and ask them to refund my loss!
I have had it bad lately!
