What did you get up to?
Meet new people? See new places, anyone travel?
Me, well I should have travelled, instead chose to stay in boring office job in the smoke, decided im going travelling for certain next summer.

I worked, drank and went to concerts. Thats about it, but a really enjoyable summer at that. But its not over yet. I'm heading to the love city of Paris next week. Thank God for cheap flights!

Drank alot, worked a hell of a lot, had an operation and didn't get away once due to not being able to get time off work.
    Overall it was pretty poor.

I was just thinking earlier on today that this has been a good summer.

I went to America on my own for 3 weeks, and had the best holiday of my life. When I came back, I started applying for a new job, and have just been offered one that I really really wanted. I'm also seeing someone new which is always nice..

So yeah, Summer 2005 was pretty good for me!

    Kev.

Quality summer. up there with the times I used to go to the Galetacht.
Went travelling through Europe on my own for about a month, caught some of the arsenal pre-season tour. Was staying in France for a few months, well recommend travelling.

    * got a job shortly afterwards
    * had a nice (but short, and very cheap :)) holiday in london
    * took in several comedy shows between the cat laughs festival in kilkenny and the comedy store in london (HIGHLY recommended btw)
    * built a new pc

Fab summer. First we moved from Cork to Wicklow. Then I got the first job I went for in Dublin, then my husband was offered a 2 year transfer to Melbourne and we are heading off this day 2 weeks on that adventure.
Oh yeah we also got a week in Lanzarote sqeezed in somewhere there as well.
So now I will be having my second summer 2005 :D

    very uneventful
    - I lived in a hotel in Wexford for a month, while working down there. no offence but, the accents drove me insane
-I then returned home, and worked and worked and worked

    That was my summer

Duulllll. I literally did nothing. But all that nothing has tempered my will and strengthened me overall, I'm sure.

Had a great first month or so, went to concerts and stuff. Then I worked the rest of the summer, so it wasn't great, but now I have some money for going back to college.

i went to san diego for the summer, wasnt as great as i thought it'd be...i dunno i guess i would rather have travel somewhere a bit different, with some sort of culture, cos let's face it, the states is a cultural black hole. South east asia would've been my preferred choice but i was talked into ithe U.S by friends. Since i've always wanted to do the j1, but without the j1 and the working, twas good to do... i suppose what i'm trying to say is that im not getting any younger and the pressure to get a career and all that is getting greater, not just from parents but myself aswell, so i want to use my time for things i really want to do.

Had the best summer in years, weather was super here in the US, spent much of my weekends and evenings in my pool, had a good few barbeque partys, went to Canada and Cape Cod as usual.

Didnt get abroad, went to Galway and Carrick On Shannon for a few nights, went karting, doing my first skydive in 2 weeks and I've taken up windsurfing. not to shabby, but I'm deffo going away next year, possibly Boston or Belgium... possibly Ozzy, who knows just waiting for the opportunity to get rid of this travel bug in my system

    I had a fantastic summer. I...

    - Completed the project and got a big bonus at work
    - Went to the Hurricane rock festival in Germany, had a fantastic time listening/moshing to favourite bands, drinking delicious beer, etc, and went to Slayer & Iron Maiden as well
    - Quit job in Dublin to work for the summer in Macedonia, where I programmed stuff while hungover, push-started a Lada on the motorway, met some extremely sound people and drank a liver-altering amount of alcohol
    - Went to Belgrade Beer Festival, and an open air metal nightclub there too.
    - Partied all night in Greece and slept on the beach
    - Went to some extremely memorable birthday parties
    - Other stuff thats none of your damn business! (but was great fun)

I want to repeat this summer!

I did absolutely NOTHING this summer, and loved it. Exactly what was needed after 6th year. Have been doing a bit of work for the last month so i now have some moneys to have a laugh in college.

I've had a great summer, albeit an expensive one.

Went to Crete on hol's, hen party in prague, hen party at home, best friends wedding, hol's in England & Scotland seeing friends, weekends in Clonmel and westport, Glastonbury (best bit), worked very little, got my first tan ever! (second best bit).
And i'm going to Italy next week.

    *brags with a smile*

Also ate so many h*sh brownies i'm going to need to diet for Christmas dinner!
