Is there any way to get these forms stamped for JF students before registration as the mother is doing her nut about the old child benefit. Can I bring along I.D. / registration pack and get them to stamp it or will I have to wait until I get my student card? Also, where exactly would I go to get these things stamped? Thanks a million.

Hi, They might do it if you ask. I think it's these guys who are in charge of doing this Student Records Office http://www.tcd.ie/Maps/house5.html

Just so you know, they'll pay it retroactively - so as soon as you get it stamped and sent in, you or your mother (whoever is getting it, I used to get it to pay for busfare and books) will get paid any benefits that were in arrears. Oh, and you go to the student records office to get it done, which is just to the right after you walk through front arch. They're open at weird times of the day so make sure you get there before they close!

Just so you know, I rang the SRO and they said they wouldn't stamp it until I was registered so out of luck there. The mother will not be impressed. Oh dear.

Also, I have these visions of the SRO being like the Accounting Department in Dilbert...
