    Daid = dad
    athair = father
    daideo = grandad
    seanathair = grandfather

    In Conamara it's usually "Deaide".

    Daid, Daidí, Deaide.

    agus

    Deá

    Mo litriú féin, ach ní dóigh liom go bhfaighfeá in aon fhoclóir é.

    My own spelling, but I doubt if you'll find it in any dictionary.

    I'm pretty sure there are two 'words' for Dad in Irish. Dhadi agus Daid. :)

    As shyster said, athair is father. A bit formal.

    At home we're Dadaí agus Mamaí
