:D Sorry JC. Seriously, though, I'm just starting to wonder what the story is with regard to the demographics of pistols out there - are there more 9mms than .22s? More air pistols than .38s? I mean, I understood that .22 plinking pistols made up a very large chunk indeed of the pistol ownership abroad - is that the case here? Or have the numbers not started to really come in yet because the CJB is still up in the air?

Might make a good poll Sparks?

What would the questions for the poll be?

  • Registered Users Posts: 40,038 ✭✭✭✭Sparks

    Good idea Macnas. How about:
What pistol calibre are you shooting?
    • Air - .177
    • Air - other
    • .22lr
    • .22 other
    • .32
    • .38
    • 9mm
    • .40
    • .45ACP
    • other (please specify)
    Sound inclusive?

Perhaps a .. Getting or in the process of getting section too..

I'm sure that covers a lot of people and might be an indication of what
level of applications are pending ...or stalled

You'd have to duplicate (or even triplicate) the list of questions though JC, just to keep the data seperate (otherwise, you'd have no idea if the calibre was a factor in the delays in applications).

I'd say that covers pretty much everything.

Ok then..how about a "Pending" (please specify) ..item

    Hijack....

Hows the availably of .223 ammo over there at the moment?
Here its really scarce at the moment, I'm down to my last 500rds
Something to do with some kind of war or something.... blaa blaa
Is the "War" effecting .223 there as well?

Rang Country lifestyle re 9mm ammo. E19.50 a box of Winchester. i'd rather go "bang bang" with my H&K than pay that. Is there no-one else with 9mm in stock in the Republic at a fair price?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 115 ✭✭Babble

Yikes! Thats pretty steep! I'm paying about E7 a box in bulk over here. 9mm is so cheap most people say its not worth their time to reload it. But at E20 a box like you just said I'd be cranking them out of the press!
    If I could of course.

    What about .223 ammo?
Apart from remington FMJ and remington HP, Sako SP, is their any other brand for sale?
    Thanks.

I can get Wolf .223 for $150.00 US, 1000 rounds. I'm not too fond of steel cased ammo and I don't have $150.00 at the moment.
Used to get Winchester 55 grain 40 count for about $8.00. Haven't seen it since May.
Guess you know where I am now, yanks allowed?
