I recently got my hands on a Dell 720 personal printer, a friend gave it to me because he got a better one, but the black ink is gone.

According to the software, only Dell sells the refills. Is that true?? Can anyone tell me where I can buy a cheapy refill?

    Thanks!

Thanks Rabies.. Have you tried all of those results? All are reliable?
    (Isnt Google cool!)

Has anyone bought a Dell cartridge online from some of the cheaper dealers and found them reputable and good value for money?

Haven't heard of the sites listed before but I'm sure someone has. Google a site name and look for feedback from other customers.

The 720 is quite easy to refill yourself.

For the black you only need to make the breather hole in the top of the cartridge slightly larger and inject ink. Ink can be bought anywhere... e.g. tesco.

Places like Cartridge World will also probably facilitate you, at a price.

If you have printed with the cartridge empty it is possible you have burnt it out, meaning you need to buy a new one.

I have a 720, and have refilled it a few times with cheap ink, and all is good so far.

Thanks Maidhc, thats the info I need. I got it when my friend had printed til the ink was gone, so maybe its burnt out. I might try the tesco refill ink and see how it goes. Cheers!
