Is this a record? I have just received a Sky Statement advising me that I viewed a movie on 25/12/02, Yes 02!!!!! Naturally I rang the number they kindly include on the statement (0818719819) but twenty six minutes later I hung up. I have no problem paying but I claim this as a record. (Unless someone can out do this)

I think you'll find that you don't have to pay them (legally) if more than a year has lapsed between alleged purchase date and billing date .

where did you get that information

there are some PPV movies/events stored on my viewing card that would probably beat 2002

I had almost the same problem as you...I order a match on prem+ and 6 films at the end of 2003 and the bill came all had once....which cost me around €65.

Did you not have a phone line in the box or is this a glich? Maybe it's something you can ask sky about.

It's not a glitch - the movies you order are stored on the card.

You are only billed for the movies when the Sky box makes contact with Sky via the telephone line (how else are Sky going to know what you ordered).

I had the same thing happen to me about a year and a half after I had watched the films.

yeah my friend had 2002 aswell it turned out that he only plugged in the box to the line to enable the box office, but anly last month did he get a unsufficent credit, so he mentioned it to me and i told him to keep his line plugged in for a day, he nearly killed me, he got a box office bill of €43 with movies dating back to 2002.

And sky never sent him out a letter about the phone line when he was in his contract term.

Folks, Bells are now ringing!!! I do not have my telephone line connected throughout the year, but this July 05 I purchased a film. So that explains how I was billed. Thanks for the info. Oh by the way I hav'nt been billed yet for that film.

Uncle Rupert knows all, you can only trick him for so long. :D

Actually, there's a question - is there any way of seeing what is "owed" on your card, i.e. see what you have purchased?

I have a horribe feeling my ex-subscription card has a few, erm, late night treats, stored on it. ;)
