I got a letter from res saying that they have enclosed a swipe key for my apartment and room. But there is no swipe key enclosed in the letter. Is this because im stayin in Larkfield and you dont use a swipe key there.

Should I have gotten a Swipe Key, did anyone else?

You do use one in Larkfield, to open the security doors (or did anyway). You should give them a call straight away.

Hey, u do need swipe card to get into main larkfield building yes, then individual keys for getting into your appartment and bedroom! That was when I was there 2 yrs ago. U only need swipe for hampstead and college park, but need both swipe and keys (keys u egt at reception)
    Good luck!

Hrm, I'm pretty sure I collected my keys from Res Reception when I moved in on both occassions. Just give them a ring to clarify that though.

i got my swipe card today too. it says that the cards are only a temporary measure and they expire on the 8th october i think.
the idea is that when you register and have your student card that you go to res reception and get it encoded so that it then becomes your key for getting into your building and apartment

yea, this yr they're gonna make you use your student card as your key. its to stop people "losing" their key so they'll have a spare to get guests onto res.
