    Hi There,

For anyone who bought eminem tickets, they are NOT refunding the full price which is against your consumer rights. I paid £65 per ticket and they will refund only £45.

Below is the email they have sent. Does anyone have any comments about this?

    Thanks!!

RAP SUPERSTAR EMINEM CANCELS EUROPEAN TOUR DATES

Get Me Tickets is sad to announce that Eminem will be cancelling his European tour dates which run from 1 September to 17 September and include the following gigs that Get Me Tickets have been supporting:

07 September 2005: Stade De France, Paris, France
09 September 2005: Milton Keynes Bowl
10 September 2005: Milton Keynes Bowl
12 September 2005: Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh
14 September 2005: Lancashire County Cricket Club, Old Trafford, Manchester
15 September 2005: Lancashire County Cricket Club, Old Trafford, Manchester
17 September 2005: Slane Castle, Dublin

The European Anger Management Tour 3 would have seen him performing with D-12, Obie Trice, Stat Quo, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, Olivia and Flipsyde as well as a hotly anticipated 50 Cent's set which would have included performances from G-Unit members Tony Yayo, Llyod Banks, Young Buck, Olivia and DJ Whoo Kid.

Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, is currently being treated for exhaustion, brought on by the hectic schedule of the American leg of his successful "Anger Management" Tour. The 32-year old is also reported to be suffering from other "medical issues". No further information has been disclosed about Eminem's condition.

Get Me tickets can exclusively reveal that there are currently no plans to reschedule the dates and that Eminem will be in fact taking a break to produce other artists. Tabloid reports that Eminem is retiring from the music business have been dismissed by the rap superstar.

The controversial star has become a smash hit sensation in the last six years with a series of Grammy-winning albums largely full of hatred for his mother and girlfriend, not to mention gays, all imaginable minority groups as well as other pop stars. Hit latest album, "Encore", was one of bluff and double-bluff, sophistry and suggestion; it toned down the rhetoric and even included an anti-war single, the rapper's most overtly political material to date.

Get Me Tickets Managing Director, Michael Rangos, made the following statement: “This is terrible news for the hundreds of thousands of Eminem fans who have been looking forward to their idol's first UK gigs since 2003. We are extremely sympathetic to their predicament and Get Me Tickets will be, of course, offering immediate refunds of the FACE VALUE of all bookings, as per out terms and conditions. Because we appreciate the exceptional circumstances that these cancellations entail, we would like to offer our exquisite clientele another option which would mean they don't have to loose out financially at all. In a groundbreaking move amongst Ticket Agencies we intend to offer the opportunity of swapping the FULL AMOUNT of any Eminem bookings for CREDIT VOUCHERS which can be used for any other event at all! We hope that goes some way in soothing the devastation caused by Eminem's sad announcement and anticipate that the wide array of exciting concerts in our portfolio such as Oasis, Foo Fighters, Coldplay and Robbie Williams will provide sufficient alternative!"

All requests for face value refunds or credit vouchers must be made in writing either by email to customerservice@getmetickets.net or via fax to 020 7240 9977 or via post to our Covent Garden address: Eminem Cancellations Department, Get Me Tickets, 71 Endell Street, London, WC2H 9AJ. Please make sure you clearly mention the full name and address including post code details of the person who made the booking.

Please find below a complete list of the face values for the concerts involved:

    Face Values for Paris Tickets : Standing = 45 Euro, Cat 3 Seats = 45 Euro, Cat 2 Seats = 56 Euro, Cat 1 Seats = 67 Euro, Gold Seats = 111 Euro

Face Values for Dublin Tickets: Standing = £44, VIP Gold Package = £68.40

Face Values for all UK Tickets: Standing = £38.50, VIP Gold Package = £68.40

Get Me Tickets is the largest independent ticket agency in the UK and Ireland providing "front row" seats for all "sold out" events at premium prices. We are proud to be known in industry circles as "the Front Row Specialists" and the "Makers of Dreams".

I look forward to receiving your email and activating your decision.

    With best wishes,

Why did you pay £65 for a €60 ticket?

That was the only price ticket available. Anyway just want to let others know in case the same thing happens to them.

    Getmetickets?
sounds like you bought the ticket from a legalised tout. Nothing to do with ticketmaster...
If you overpaid a tout in buyandsell you would be in the same boat

It's your own fault, anybody stupid or desperate enough to buy from non-official ticket agents run the risk of this happening
