81 player put up the 50+15 to enter and about 2/3 of the field took either a rebuy or add-on \t the 2nd pokerevents satelite held at th esouthcourt hotel.

I was made the bounty player and pokerevents were kind enough to offer €200 credit for Boyles poker for anyone who took me out but I could get it myself if I just made the last 2 tables which was a pretty sweet deal for me.

I got Aces paid off early on and doubled through then took a huge pot with KQ in a 4 way showdown. I hit a lot of flops and just before the break I was up to 23K after starting with 4K. I took the add-on and won a decent pot just after the break which put me as chip leader with 35K.

After that I went unbleievably card dead. I got dealt nothing but completely unplayable garbage for about an hour and a half. Eventually the blinds caught with me and I pushed a few times to stay alive but could never doubled up.

I made the last 2 tables and got my bounty but I was very shortstacked. With 18K left at 2K/4K, CO and button limped in and I looked down at 63o in the SB. I went all in and everyone folded allowing me to increase my stack by more than 75%. :)

A couple of otbits later and still card dead I pushed on the button with A2 and the BB called with KT. The flop was all low garbage but he rivered the 10 to take me out in 10th. Delighted with how I played. Made no mistakes as far as I'm concerned. Its a tough tournament to win if you don't get some cards or get lucky after the break because the blinds catch up very quickly.

The best thing about the night for me though was that I had 50% of Anthony Keane who made the final table as chip leader, and when Anthony has chips its an absolute bloodbath. He is completely unbluffable and basically sliced and diced his way through the final table like a meat grinder. He got very lucky on several occasion but Anthony's strength is in making those kind of calls. On one occasion he called an all-in with 45o in the BB. EP had AK. flop K 3 7. Turn a 6! I've said it before and I'll say it again. Tight players don't win tournaments. After he wiped his oponents blood off his chips he was awarded €2100 which included a €1000 ticket for the IPC final which I took, so I'm already in it.

I effectively made more money than anyone else on the night despite not actually cashing in the tournament. :p
