    Hi. Was just wondering if anyone out there work as special needs assistants in a school, secondary or primary school. i just finished college and have an interview on friday and want to know what type of criteria will be sought after in the interview. Can anyone help?

    special needs could be those with a learning disability or those with a physical diability, very likely you could be wokring with kids with Cerebral Palsy (eg they may have problems with muscles/ hypertonia or hypotonia, problems with extensor muscles in the back, so poor balance and coordination but it depends on the person etc)

    you will be taking care of the basic needs of whoever your looking after, eg toileting, maybe taking notes, feeding them (possibly), you might be helping them to concentrate by removing distractions, similiar work to that of a care assistant, pushing them around in their wheelchair etc/ holding doors
