Splitting the pot - Figures based on Musicians win in the Fitz

On the spliting of the pot - how is it generally worked out?

The one time I made it to heads up in the Fitz I was chip leader by very little. It was the TH/Omaha on a Saturday night about 5-6 months ago.

The prise fund was around €1750 for the final 2. So we agreed to give €150 to the dealer and take €800 each. I had no idea what the appropriate amount for the dealer so agreed. (I have since been told the dealers in the fitz get paid purely on the tips so I reckon €150 is fair enough)

I have a suggestion which to me makes the fairest split with regards to chip position

My suggestion on a defacto standard that should be adopted by all card rooms globally :)

    Any alternative suggestion??????

The attachment doesn't seem to want to work for me, can you post what it says or a screenshot or something?
Making deals is covered in alot of poker books, you can mathematically figure it out perfectly.

I thought Fitz tournament dealers got paid an hourly rate, just the cash game dealers relied on tips.

Maybe Marq can clarify. but I thought they pool all tips and based on hours worked you get the hourly rate. could be way off the mark on this.

A = Prizes if game played out (this would vary but lets presume this was the breakdown on the night)
B= % of Chips in play, held by each player at time of deal
C = Percentage of prize based on percentage of overall chips
    D = Remainder split 4 ways
E = Total paid to each Player
    A B C D E
    1st 2250 50% 1125 739.125 1864.125
    2nd 1125 23% 258.75 739.125 997.875
    3rd 675 17% 114.75 739.125 853.875
    4th 450 10% 45 739.125 784.125
    Totals 4500 100% 1543.5 2956.5 4500

Deals take into account a lot more than chip stacks (it's not unusual for a player with a deficit to decline a 50/50 split) - and surely the point of a 'deal' is that it's made by bargaining between the players, and there's as much skill to it as the play itself. So I'm not sure about a 'global' rule, nice as your suggestion was.

As for dealers, there are different situations between tournament and cash game play, due to there not being a similar volume of tips in tournament play.
