I think he's a fantastic actor. Met him in town last christmas eve and he was so sweet and nice

Better actor, and much sexier than monkey man Farrell.

I think Colin Farell is cool, I mean he acts exactly how I would if I was in his position. Maybe not the accent, but in fairness its partly what put him where he is!

I wish I could put my finger on why I dont like Cillian Muprphy, I saw him in a play in the olympia before he was famous and I remember him irritating me the whole way through so I know its not the green moster at least.

personally i think hes quite a good actor and some of his roles have been great (intermission/28 days later)

A lot of people can't stand him because of the look of him. While he's not a super actor, he is a good actor, and if the role suits him can be very good. In his earlier roles, eg., Disco Pigs, and How Harry Became a Tree, there were patches of some dodgy acting. I think his acting has been improving since then, and I thought he was spot on in 28 Days Later, but he was pure class in Batman Begins imo... fit the role perfectly and was a really good villain. With this in mind I was looking forward to seeing him in Red Eye... and although he wasn't terrible in that he didn't quite fit the part imo, and since his character was very tame overall there wasn't really much of an opportunity for him to make his mark there.

It is good to see another Cork man making it big, and imo we'll have to see just how good he is with the roles he gets and the performances he gives in the future.

A dude I know, Cillian Murphy, is an aspiring actor, and has had to change his 'screen name' to Killian Scott, because of Cillian Murphy (the famous one). So thanks to that, he's ok in my book!

    A screen name, hahaha.

Hmmm, strange. Some mates were in the VIP section at Oxegen this year and he was there also. The mate's girlfriend wanted to get a picture taken with him so another mate walked up to him and politely asked if he would mind if they took a picture to which he replied, "I don't do photographs!!!" TWAT!!

I know celebrities aren't owned by the public and if they don't want to they are not obliged to pose for photographs or give autographs but there are polite ways to say no.

I was on the set of that film down in Kilkenny. He looks feckin' great in costume - better than some of the chicks you see out on the town at the weekend!
He's trying to keep private, which you can understand..especially as he's an auld married man now and all.

oh god , it was total CRAP!!

If that's the guy from Red Eye I think he's great. I saw him first in a play called "The shape of things by Neil Labute in Dublin (I think it was him) and saw him as the character he was playing as opposed to an actor playing a part. Unlike his female counterpart whom I wished would go places as she was quite hot..

Now it seems like he's being a tad typecast which is a shame. But then again, I have only seen him in Batman and adverts for Red Eye. Fair play to the guy.
