I was just wondering, I am putting my mp3 collection onto DVD's and I wanted to do something like a HTML page for the menu. Does anyone know any decent software for the task, preferably freeware.
Also what software does evryone use for keeping track of there mp3 collection.

Sorry if these have all been asked before but the search function isn't working.

Your player should display the mp3 files/folders and you can navigate using arrow keys on remote. http://www.audio-dvd-creator.com/ might do it, but the audio files get converted so wont be able to squeeze as much on as raw mp3 files.

Is it a data dvd for a computer your making?
SO when you insert it, you could have auto run enabled, and it would launch a browser with links to all the albums and so on, nicely organised. Very nice idea.
No idea what programs to use though.
    Sorry :D
    Cool idea though

That's exactly what I'm trying to do. There must be some program out there that will turn a list of files into Web page with links and all. I could do it all by hand but it would just take forever.

Anyone come across anything that might be able to do this?

    Thanks

Ok, this works in Firefox anyway, probably will in IE too:

If you have all you MP3s in a folder on your HD, put that folder in the Location/Address bar of your browser:
i.e instead of http://www.google.ie, put D:\music, WITH the "\" slash instead of the other one.
Hopefully this should give you a simple HTML page with links to all your MP3s or whatever

Then go to File-> Save AS and save this webpage as a complete web page.

Now, assuming you create the same file structure on your DVD, all you have to do is change the drive letter from the D: to the DVD drive in the HTM file, mine is E:
To do this open up notepad or your favourite text editor and do a Replace All of "D:" with "E:".

This may only work if all drives you use the DVD with are E: (or whatever yours is), but I'm sure there's some way of tweaking it, but here my HTML knowledge runs out. :p

Hope that gives you some ideas anyway.

Net Zero means we are paying for the destruction of our economy and society in pursuit of an unachievable and pointless policy.
