Worrying tale of a player of silent hunter 3 who decided to play a mission in the game from beginning to end in full real time* watch as his sanity begins to crack later in the posts...

    * For anyone who hasnt played silent hunter 3 the game is fully real time from when your sub leaves the dock to when it returns...but players can use time compression to speed up a journey that originally took 6 days into 2-3 hours...hence this crasy person played the game steadily for 8 days...

There are such folk closer to home, I have a mate whose idea of a good time used to be him and a copy of 611 attack sub on the megadrive, and the bits on the russian boat were the best, so he says, he played it for hours on end, taking soanr readings, chasing down enemy subs, evading detection etc.
Honestly playing a train sim is better fun, possibly watching gravy congeal is a tad more exciting too.
