Commute: Somewhere to Inchicore

I have an interview with a company who are based in Inchicore. I am looking into moving back to Ireland but I am finding the whole thing a bit pricey! It would be ideal to get a family home local but I am a realist (for the house type we want) so the commuting thingy will have to do.

Anyhow, what would the commute (on public transport) be like from some of the commuting towns in Kildare, Meath and North County Dublin to Inchicore?

My preference is on the coast in North County Dublin (Rush/Lusk/Balbriggan) but the train goes into Connolly and I will have to get to Inchicore from there. I could go for some of the towns that are on the Kildare line into Heuston and then a bus(?). The Maynooth/Leixlep end looks promising but the train goes into Connolly.

    Any suggestions?

IMO North Dublin is better and the LUAS runs from Connolly up to Heuston which might suit you.

The Luas goes from Connelly to Inchicore.

So it does. The nearest stop would be Blackhorse then a walk down Tyrconnel Road. I will need to look into areas on the Luas now

I get the tram to Blackhorse when going to Inchicore from Connolly. Takes about 25 mins - It's great. As you are getting on at Connolly, you always get a seat and there is usually a tram waiting for you at Connolly when you get there.
