Music Shop Trade-In Policy

    All

Just be aware if you are buying anything in a music shop that you should check out their trade-in policy first - if thats something you're concerned about.

I usually buy from Thomann etc (the prices including shipping are usually cheaper than the music shops here. However I've no problem paying a little over the odds now and again to a local shop to support local business etc. I would justify paying the extra money in my own mind on the basis that you can trade in the item down the line if it doesn't suit you etc. Also I like to give a shop business if they're competitive and flexible.

I was disappointed when I tried to do a trade in deal in a music shop in Maynooth for a perfectly clean and packaged CS-3 pedal that I bought in Feb in the shop (for the usual 30% more than Thomann) that they refused. I had the receipt and the pedal was in perfect condition.

This is just a heads up - if you are buying gear in shop on the assumption that the shop will offer a trade-in down the line, you are probably well advised to check with the shop first before spending your money.

This is the one less customer for that music shop I'm afraid.......

This has nothing to do with FS Music Equipment. Moved to Instruments.
