MY cousin trains in a thai place in drogheda. I think it is good because he has developed savage skills in 2 years training. amazing.
I think the guy who runs it is called mick o hanlon (though I might me worng on name) and he has posted in here once and his club we site. maybe search the boards and you might find him. he poasted about 3 months ago I remember.

I hear it is good training and pretty tough!

If the club is being run by Mick O'Hanlon, do check it out as Mick's been on the scene a long time (Jaysus as long as Paul "Budda Bridgestone" Kelly and meself and believe me thats a long time; not necessarily good though LOL) and is one hard bastard. Mick trained a lot with Master Toddy and as far as I can remember fought some top class fighters, a lot of them above his level/weight (at that particular point in his fight career) and was never stopped or knocked down even. If you do go along please tell him Dave Joyce was asking for him.

yeah I donot have me cousin number handy to call him and get details for you. He trained very hard there, and tells me Mick is a top guy, I think he lived in tahiland too or something and did fights over there.

and as i said the cousins standard is amazing after only 2 years. and after watching him, I was so imporessed, that made me forget about kickboxing, and get into the thai.

Man I wish I had the opportunity to get into thai when I was like 18 , I feel deprived re this!!!! LOL : - )

I've been told that Brian Gallagher is only doing thai out of his own house. I got the impression that it's not for newbies (or wannabe newbies) like myself

after following paddyc's advice - I bought Irish Fighter magazine and tracked down richie moore. He's a little outside Dundalk in the Dromiscin area. If you want his contact details - just pm me

I'm home from my first time ever thai boxing and I have to say that I liked it. It's a different workout than I'm normally used to. Muscles a little sore but that's ok :D
