There was a strange guy at a cash table in the fitz recently, I think he stated he was from iran, he carrys around with him a small elephant with diamonds on it, friendly guy always asking how are you and talking to himself "very nice, very nice ok very good" etc etc

but he got very upset at the table and started screaming and shouting at a player/dealer about a problem with their math's.

does anyone know much about him?

That sounds like Hussein, or General to his friends.
And he's not from Iran, he's from Kurdistan.

    Very clever man.

he kinda symbollically beheaded me in a tournament the other day. when i folded to his all in bet after i raised on virtually every street he stood up in a torrent and slammed his cards in front of me to reveal he had trips then went off on one babbling about 'these new players'. some charachter!.

'You very nice boy, very nice'....:)

He flipped out on me once, it was a tad unsettling...didn't like the fact I raised pre-flop and layed down my pocket pair to a re-raise.

Now that I think of it he seemed to have a great night on Friday, massive stack after the break. I was on his table and he was really using the stack well, often raising big pre-flop, sometimes with marginal hands. On my BB (blinds 400 / 800, I had 8k left) he raised to 2000. Folded round to me with A6 clubs. Given that he was raising all night with KJo, etc, I decided to call. Bad move? Should I have gone all in? The flop came down Qxx with two clubs. My move?

Yeah this was Friday night after the tourny on the cash tables, But to be honest I would never let him talk to me the way he did to the dealer and player at that table there was no excuse for it. I think what added to it was his K high flush was beaten by A high :)

I rise, man call. Man have Jack 8. 8 open, Jack no open. I have Q8. I fold. I tell man Jack no open. Next hand man have 2 queen. I have 2 king. I rise man call. Queen no open, I win.

ah hussein, mad nutcase. loves cecil or cecil-sossle-cecil-sausages as he calls him. Awful tendency to get in a strop, go all in out of position with other players in the hand and throw over his cards after he has just been beaten in a hand. Him and his nail clippers.

Yeh id an encounter with him too. i think he is hilarious to listen to, and if you had him live on tv poker ratings would double! like big brother mixed with late night poker, he'd fall out with someone everygame.
played one table 20euro buy in stt on a sunday few months back. table full of limpers, im on bb with AJ off and wanted to know were i stood, 7 limpers, early in tournie, so i raise only 2 bb (probably way too low, but i simply wanted to find out did i have many free aces? and get rid of most of the rubbish, also it was the first hand i played all day so expected a bit of respect) only receive one caller until gets to el general on the Button. he's already shaking his head and when its his turn to act he starts sayin . one hundred one hundred, that no bet, you want to see bet? (and throws another 5hunred chip in, nearly half his stack). i knew he was doing this more than anything because i raised such a small amount and annoyed him, and for this reason only i called it, i felt after that he did very well in goading me into it, because id never normally call AJ to a large raise. 3 players
flop comes K Q x , im first to act and say to myself that sum1 must have had atleast a K and so in early pos cant do anything but chek, 2nd player checks General goes all in, still furiously shaknin his head at me. we all fold to his 44 that he happilly shows, whilst sayin 100 bet, ill show him bet, thats how u bet etc etc . . .
when lookin back on it now its very funny, i tink characters like him are well needed at the table, although im not condoning his outbursts.
moral of story dont allow sum1 to goade you into a hand, and AJ early pos, MUCK!!!!
(ps very aware played that hand terribly! we all leaern!)

yeh hussein hates them small raises. You can use them perfectly to induce a re-raise from him, as was taught to me by none ther than Doc Farrell! Roped him in with those aces nicely didn't ya Des!
