Agreed, fantastic show. The intro and it's accompaning music was great. Have the theme tune on my hard drive here.

Out of the shadows steps McCall, silhoueted by the headlights from his black Jag XJ6, accompanied by Stewart Copeland's pounding synth-and-drum based theme tune.

    Got a problem?

    Odds against you?

    Call the Equalizer.

    Fan-bloody-tastic! :D

I wish the creators would put out a dvd box set of the show, as its only on VHS at the moment..and can cost a good bit to purchase (some)

To be honest, i only remembered Edward Woodward.. and the theme tune i will never forget :D downloaded it too.
My parents would never let me watch it the time it aired, as i was too young, they thought it was "too violent" but i managed to watch it a couple of times, without getting caught :p

i'm surprised re-runs weren't shown, atleast i've not seen any, i guess its a bit
    outdated now.

i read online that a movie is apparently gonna be made, but its difficult to say if it will be any good or not.
A feature film version of the 1980s CBS drama "The Equalizer" is in the works. Mace Neufeld ("Sahara") is teaming with series creator and executive producer Michael Sloan and Tony Eldridge on the project. "The Equalizer" starred British actor Edward Woodward as Robert McCall, a veteran covert operative who, seeking redemption for his dark deeds, quits a CIA-like agency and puts an advertisement in the paper that reads simply: Got a problem? Odds against you? Call the Equalizer."

Great series, I remember once they went to his 'fishing cabin' hid out. Then and bad guys catch up with them he flicks a switch and out from behind a wardrobe appears this big wall of guns all laid out. He take the smallest gun off the wall and closes it. Understated, profession, brilliant! The wall of guns is now seen in every good action movie.

I was never a regular but the "cool as cucumber sandwiches and a cup of tea" opening credits always stuck in my head, have it on hard disk from some site.

    Mike.

I used to have a major crush on Edward Woodward. :o

I was only about 8 or 9 but I loved that show.

Saw him recently in Hot Fuzz and I have to say that he doesn't really do it for me now!
