I'm going to bring my ferret to ireland but before doing so I wanted to make sure I can find a vet in Dublin which has a specialization in ferrets since I'll have to sterilize it and take care of it for all the cheks it could be needing

does anyone knows such a vet or has a ferret and can suggest me an expert vet about ferrets?

    thanks a lot in advance

Bairebre O'Malley in Bray or Bray Vet, it's not too far from Dublin. Bairbre deals with lots of exotics.

Beaufield Vets in Celbridge - they did a male & female ferret for me about 4 months ago.

    Artane Vet Clinic

A friend of mine works there & she says they've neutered ferrets.

Artane vets are gone, they are moved into Raheny vets now.

I'm looking for a guinea pig specialist vet on the Northside. I mean if she has an urgent problem how the hell do I get to Bray!

What's the story with the North of Dublin and vets for exotic/small animals?
Iw as told by one vet 'I wouldn't say we any of our vets specialise in guinea pigs but we'd do a check-up alright' that's not filling me with confidence in my pets healthcare!

Anyone out there know anyone please post details. :)

I'm going to sound like a broken record but either Bairbre in Bray of Bray vets are good with piggies, I'm down in Tipp and our own vets have improved a lot, it's so hard to find a piggy vet but for anything more complicated Id travel to Bray. Mabey someone else can recommend one nearer to the North side.

Bairbre has a website ( http://www.veterinary.ie/index.htm ) if you need directions on how to find her. She's in the centre of Bray, very close to the old Town Hall (now a McDonalds !) Getting to Bray from the Northside is dead easy nowadays now the M50 is open all the way round, although you do have to pay the tolls :(

BTW, although she does specialize in exotics, and ISTR lectures at the UCD veterinary college on such matters (so she knows her stuff), she's also great with cats and dogs.
