I really liked this episode. Tied in perfectly with last weeks show and didnt seem like a rehash of the previous bug episode. All the main characters got decent enough screen time tho the way the Deadilous commander got made out to be a bad guy was a little over the top.

    Roll on next week :)

It was good but as Venom said, making the Deadilous commander to be such a bad guy was over the top. One thing that did bug me though was the security outside Sheppards room. It was utter crap. I mean come on, they knew how tough Ford was and Sheppard even told them to increase the guard but he still breezed passed them as if they weren’t even there!

I thought the Daedulus commander was portrayed well, and I never saw him as a bad guy. He's got a very different POV to Dr Weir and is ambitious himself, so obviously they are going to lock horns. It's well handled imo.

I liked this episode. The ease of Sheppard's escape didn't bother me because that sort of thing is a staple of Stargate by now. I would have preferred if the episode wasn't wrapped up quite so neatly though, ie Sheppard wasn't immediately back to his old self by the end. Much better than SG1's effort this week, Sheppard seems to be a better leading man than Mitchell to me (maybe he just needs some time though).

Havent seen the SG1 episode yet but I have to agree with Kaids about Mitchell. He just dosent work for me and after 7-8 episodes he should be clicking in by now. Jonas just worked so well right from the start and personaly I would rather have just the 3 main stars of SG1 in the show rather than import the lead character from Farscape.

    Synopsis:
Shepard gets sick. Plan doesn't seem to work. Beckett has an idea. Plan works. Shepard recovers ok. Teyla's shooting sucks.

    Same old, same old.

Thought that the staging of the whole thing was a bit predictable but OK. Fxing a problem in last few frames spanks of scripting by numbers. The only interesting part was the the "cure" and how it may feature in the future.

Enjoyed this more than SG1 and more than last week's SGA. Admittedly, I'd have liked to have seen some long-lasting effects/consequences for Sheppard, some holdover. Hopefully that scar indicates I'll get that...

Would agree that security was a bit lax given they were warned but then this is the guys from the SGC - of course they're lax :)

Thought everyone's screen time was handled well this week - even Lorne got a decent amount. And I'm also on the side that Skinner isn't a bad guy - he's just a different POV in the way Maybourne had in SG1. To that end, Weir was a bit childishly bitchy to him given she's meant to be a world-renknowned diplomat...

Overall, it was good solid entertainment and there's some consistency now in the wraith development.

I have to say I did like this episode. The ease of escape was a bit odd, I'd have thought they may have even disabled the door on his side so he couldnt activate it. But as we saw later in the episode, the Wraith blaster stun gun's thing were useless against him. He took two direct hits and continued on running. Took Ronin and that big blaster of a gun he has to stun him.

With the whole cell's thing and it being able to cure Shepard might go a long way to helping Beckett's "retro" anti-Wraith virus. I can see maybe it becomming a possibility in the near future. Im not sure how it would "cure" Wraith of their ... wraith like qualities, but it might just be able to go some way to killing them more effectivly then about 20 direct rounds. [where do they get all this ammunition tbh? ]

Also about Skinner. What we all know is that Mitchell was never really trained for the role he is in. It more kinda fell to him after Sumner died in Rising. I think Skinner was just implementing the sort of stuff that Sumner would have done had he been in control. He stated how rosters etc. were a mess and I think that just goes back to Shepard not knowing how to command a whole "army" so to speak.

I think they have been playing down Weir in this season I have to say. She played a lot more important role in the last season and appeared to be a lot stronger. This season we havnt seen that much of her being as much of a leader as she was last season. Weather this has something to do with the Daedulus and Skinner we will soon find out.

I watched "Before I Sleep" [i think it was] this evening aswell. Does anyone know what they did with the list of 5 gate address' of ZPM's they got from the, 10,0000 year old Weir? I couldnt remember if they did gate to any of them and find any fully working ZPM's. I'm assuming the Brotherhood episodes had something to do with it but I cant remember.

The Brotherhood was the only planet on which they actually found a ZPM.

I thoguht this episode was dull...it dragged for me. So I can only hope that it's a prelude to better stories.
I was thinking to mylsef that sending SHeppard was the obviously better idea but the with fact that they put it back till the end I thought they were goign to do somethign else, hopefully even drag a few more episodes out of it.

Oh well....it was a good episode to have after Instinct but I still preferred Instinct, I also preferred Prototype.
